200 Greatest

I am watching on youtube the 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons. Oprah was #1. I did not get some of the ranking though. You had Aretha Franklin at #103, Diana Ross at #165, and JFK at #32 but Brittany Spears at #20 and JLo at #15. This does not seem very accurate to me. Aretha, Diana, JFK made a greater impact than JLO or Brittany Spears. What did VH1 base this off of?

SHUT UP

I know it has been a few weeks, but I am still irritated by the comments that Pat Robertson made about Haiti a few weeks ago. I am a Christian believer and I believe that the comments were very inappropriate and embarrasing to other fellow christians. Who are you to sit in judgement of others? I sometimes wonder if Pat Robertson reads the bible that he quotes all the time. For Matthew 7:2 says: "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Who are you?

Whilie I love the 1st Ammendment it does give people such as Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reiley, Anne Coulter, and Pat Roberston grounds to speak on things which they sometimes know nothing about. I don't believe in passing judgement on others. I feel that Pat Robertson needs to really reflect on what he has said.

My Bad Bra

You know what I notice? A lot of times now a days our young men and even a few older men have a hard time saying these two simple words: "I'm Sorry". Instead they say the term "my bad brotha" or "my fault". To me this does not take the place of "I am sorry." Maybe I am old school but come on...

Example:

Me: "You are 15 minutes late"
Person: "My bad bra"

Seriously...

Breath

I have talked about this numerous times, but I am really frustrated by the lack of people's personal hygeine. I have noticed several of my students who smell really badly. Its ridiulous. I see several girls who jus are rank. A day without a shower is NOT AN OPTION It is just ridiulous. Fellas here are some guides from Gilly The Kid to stay fresh N Clean. It is sad I have to post it, but you know here is what I do:

1.)You Need A Wash Cloth: You cannot get your skin clean without a good wash cloth, or poof sponge. You can' just rub a bar of soap against your body especially if you have dry skin. The washcloth exfoliates your skin and removes any excess dead skin.

2.) Repeat The Cycle: Wet your body, wash, rinse, wash again.

3). Dry off properly. Use your towel. Dry off good. Leaving any wet spots, breed bacteria and you could smell sour.

4.) Lotion your body: Dry skin is not fun. I might even sugest using Vaseline Coconut Oil. I used it it really helps my dry skin problem especially during the winter.

5.) Body Powder: This is just the next step. Use deodorant powder such as Shower To Shower or a generic knock off works for your groin area and underams.

6.) Spray on a few spritzes of cologne. Do not overdue it. You will STINK again.

6.) Clean T-shirt, and Socks.

IF you shower at night, that is OK for some, but we do sweat at night and that sweat stays on our bodies. I suggest if you must, rewash your underarms and groin areas again for a fresher upper.

NEVER:
If you are funky never jus add deodarant to sweat, wash!
Do not put cologne over funk. You wouldn't add gas to a towering inferno would you?
