It seems that our society has really started to create a lazy mentality. We do things that have created laziness. I am looking at these ridiculous INFOMERCIALS that are just hilarious! They have one where u don't have to boil your pasta now...seriously? How lazy is that..and the overacting of the host/washed up celebrity that endorses it.
These infomercial host who is usually some washed up out of work celebrity, are super annoying. The overact and being really fake. They cannot believe how powerful the product is. Its so pathetic. They need to have an infomercial to help salvage some of these washed up celebrity's career. "If there is a producer out there please call, and put in your next movie." I love the all the tag lines:
The infomercials are apparently trying to appeal to housewives. It is usually some cooking product making you life a lot easier (a cooker that saves the process of defrosting, or boiling or draining fat) or some type of beauty product by some washed up model (who can't even get on Top Model) hacking some lame ass beauty makeup that makes you look just like her.
"Just for easy payment of 19.95." (How is it easy? What happens if you don't make a payment or miss a payment? Does somebody come knocking on your door to collect?)
"Act now and we will throw in a free..." (FREE? In little writing at the bottom it normally says "just pay separate shipping and handling" which cost more than the product)
"Right now this product is a value of $299.34 (random price how do they come up with that)we will give it to you for the insane price of 4 easy payments of 39.95 or some other price which (along with shipping and handling) usually amounts to the same price.)
Enough. Most of these products end up being sold in the store eventually. Just wait for that. If ever there is a reason I endorse getting cable, it is the annoying informercials that come on regular television.

Good Time
So I went out yesterday and I had a GREAT TIME! I went to the power & light district in Kansas City and saw Bloodstone in concert, then I went to a picnic hosted by a friend of mine. As I was having a good time last night, I could not help but wonder why I don't have more days like this?
It seems like its almost like pulling teeth to get people to go out anymore. I schedule events, plan social getogethers and people ask like I am asking them for their first born child. Is it that difficult to go out? I understand that people have children, responsibilities, and busy careers. I also have all the same (sans the children). responsibilities.
So do any of you single people feel bad or ANYONE for that matter going out by yourself? I have begun to go out a few times by myself and have loved it. You get a chance to meet different people. Its not like I am shunning people, its just sometimes you get tired of asking people to do stuff and you keep hitting a brick wall. Anyone else feelin me on this?

Pampered & Privelleged
How many people actually think that Lindsay Lohan will serve her full 90 days? I think we will be lucky if she spends two weeks. What message does this send her? I am so tired of these pampered celebrities thinking they are above the law and then blaming their bad behaviors on their "deprivation of a child", "lack of privacy", "tiredness of living in the limelight". Question: if you are really tired of all the media scrutiny, why do you keep doing things IN PUBLIC? Its like me saying "I am tired of all these toothaches, but I am going to keep eating Bit O Honey candy." Come on!
Lindsay, I truly hope you get the help you need while you are away. Use this time to reflect on what got you to this point? I hope you understand how you are getting off lucky. Think about it, what if it has been Akeem T. Johnson from Compton that had gotten two DUI arrest, and would have missed court appointed rehab or probation? Would he have gotten 90 days? Come on...
More to come later.

You are NOT the father...
Ok I am shamefully watching Maury Povich. Does he ever do a show that is not about paternity test? I just do not get it. Here are a couple of things that are just laughable:
These women that come on who obviously sleep around. They come on and swear up and down that these dudes are the father of their babies only to get their faces broke when they find out that they are NOT the father. Come on yaw? Why embarrass yourself on national television like this? Oh wait..I guess I just figured it out, its because Maury pays for the DNA test.
The audience is quick to jump on these dudes who they think are no good only to have all of their faces broken when they find out the girl was skeezer. Geez..
Is this what entertainment has come down to? Maybe I just to change the channel.
Sail on....

200 Greatest
I am watching on youtube the 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons. Oprah was #1. I did not get some of the ranking though. You had Aretha Franklin at #103, Diana Ross at #165, and JFK at #32 but Brittany Spears at #20 and JLo at #15. This does not seem very accurate to me. Aretha, Diana, JFK made a greater impact than JLO or Brittany Spears. What did VH1 base this off of?

SHUT UP
I know it has been a few weeks, but I am still irritated by the comments that Pat Robertson made about Haiti a few weeks ago. I am a Christian believer and I believe that the comments were very inappropriate and embarrasing to other fellow christians. Who are you to sit in judgement of others? I sometimes wonder if Pat Robertson reads the bible that he quotes all the time. For Matthew 7:2 says: "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Who are you?
Whilie I love the 1st Ammendment it does give people such as Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reiley, Anne Coulter, and Pat Roberston grounds to speak on things which they sometimes know nothing about. I don't believe in passing judgement on others. I feel that Pat Robertson needs to really reflect on what he has said.

My Bad Bra
You know what I notice? A lot of times now a days our young men and even a few older men have a hard time saying these two simple words: "I'm Sorry". Instead they say the term "my bad brotha" or "my fault". To me this does not take the place of "I am sorry." Maybe I am old school but come on...
Example:
Me: "You are 15 minutes late"
Person: "My bad bra"
Seriously...
